O Christmas Tree...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - and we're SO excited! This is my favorite holiday of all!
Last year, Chris and I put up a tiny Christmas tree on top of our TV. We had to keep it away from Gracie and that's the only place we could think of. This year, I convinced Chris to buy a 6-foot prelit tree. We put it up last weekend, and so far, Gracie has left it alone!!!! Yay!! It's pretty sparsely decorated, but we wanted to make sure nothing will break when she knocks it over, haha!

Here's a few pics of the tree and our stockings...

I can't wait till Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2009

We had a very happy Thanksgiving this year! We were able to go home to Greeneville and had lots of time with our families. It was great! Chris enjoyed not having class for a week, but he has tons of work to do since the semester is almost over. Here are some fun pics of the festive tables our mom's set, as well as all the food!!

We had fun and we ate SO much - we're looking forward to heading back to Greeneville for Christmas!!
Love always,

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Our friends Robert and Jodie had us over to their house for a party! Chris and I dressed up as Clark Kent and Lois Lane (did you expect anything else??). Our favorite costume of the night was Jenn's!! She went as the winner of Publisher Clearing House's $1,000,000!! Hahaha, it was great!

We played Halloween Pictionary and Charades!! And of course, we ate a lot of food!!

Love always,
Michelle

Chris's 26th Birthday!!

We celebrated Chris's 26th Birthday at the beach with his parents! We had a great time...it was awesome to get away. The weather was perfect! We walked out on the beach, shopped a lot, and ate a ton of food, lol!

Happy Birthday Chris!!

Chris and Dennis just couldn't resist playing with the instruments at Cracker Barrel, haha!

Playing in the waves!!

I just love the beach,

International Festival!!

Chris and I have big news!! We've been given the opportunity to go on a mission trip to India in January with the seminary!! We're incredibly excited, and when we heard that there's an International Festival going on in downtown Raleigh this weekend, we had to go check it out!!

We toured all the booths set up for different countries, and we enjoyed watching the international dancers.

Chris tried some kind of weird Korean food, and I ate a whole plate of Chinese food!! This is huge for me! I've always claimed to HATE Chinese food and I've refused to eat it up until today, hahaha. It was really yummy... Chris is excited that we can go eat it together now, and he won't have to wait for me to go out of town before he gets any! We looked at the Indian food, but since I couldn't make out what any of it was, I wasn't brave enough to taste it today.

Here are some of the pictures I took while we were there...

Happy Fall!!

Last weekend, I was able to travel home to TN to be the majorette judge at a band festival. It rained so much, we had to move everything into the school's gym (which was interesting), but I still had a lot of fun! I made my Mom go with me, and I really enjoyed spending the day with her :-) Here are some pictures of the day...

I loved seeing my family, and I also got to hang out with some of my friends!!! It was a good weekend. Chris got to stay in Wake Forest to take care of Gracie :-) Haha, no, he really had to stay behind to help out at a Ladies Banquet at our church. We missed each other, and I was SO glad to get back home on Sunday night...

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather we've been having! I'm going to miss summer, but I can't complain about how nice it's been lately...

Love always,

Bahamas Cruise with the Girls!!

Hello all!

I just got back from the Bahamas, and I had such a great time :-) It was really awesome to be able to have a week with the girls...but I missed Chris terribly!

We had a loooonnnngg drive down to Port Canaveral, FL last Saturday, then we hopped on the Carnival Sensation and left for Freeport. We were able to spend some time at Lucaya Beach while we were there, and it was SO beautiful! The next day was Allison's Birthday, and we spent it shopping and snorkeling in Nassau. We had perfect weather!! Wednesday was a day at sea, and we laid out by the waterpark on deck all day. And of course we ate a ton! Pretty sure I gained 10 lbs. Ugh!! I'm already missing my friends, but I love being back with my wonderful husband :-)

Here's a few pictures from our trip....

Chris and I decided to start a blog so that our family and friends across the country can keep up with us here in Wake Forest!

Chris just started his 4th semester at Southeastern Seminary and he already has a ton of reading to do. He's also staying busy leading worship and the youth at our church, Grove Park Chapel. You can listen to a recent sermon by Chris on the church's website (http://www.groveparkchapel.com/).

I started a new job back in May at a local optometry office, and I really enjoy working there! The other girls I work with are also seminary wives - and they're a hoot :-) I'm looking foward to auditioning for some shows coming up, and hopefully I'll be able to post about one soon!

Gracie is still as crazy as ever - she constantly keeps us on our toes...
I'm getting ready to go on a cruise with three good friends next week...I'll post pictures when I get back!!
Love always,
Michelle
